SoCal, will be able to pick up at ViS. Its off the 60 on San Jose Ave.
The deposit is 250 per item. then an add'tl 250 for the hatch, and 225 for the hood when the order is ready for pick-up.

I don't think as a community, we are understanding what is going down here....
I'm sure we've all seen the group buys on here before, yes? And maybe some of you have participated in them even... Well, it stated as a few of us locals wanting these hatches, via Sush blowing out his rear window, Hmmm... wonder how that happened after hearing his system the other day....
In the process, I found a few other's interested, and made some calls, and now Sush is doing the footwork to hook it up....
The deposit is only $250... that's chump change compared to what VIS will do for you if you are going in solo, they don't take deposit's, they do take cash paid in full up front so please come through and help out every party involved so we can close the deal and get some sick carbon pieces in return!!!

P.S.- I have received no PM's about payment's sent or interest's confirmed....

Hey Brent....I found a body shop through my co-worker that will clearcoat the hatches for like 250-300 a piece.

They come with a gel coat...which if you want to protect, you will want to clear coat. FYI, I was at VIS yesterday and took a look at the hatches. Like the hoods, they are about 95% perfect. you WILL find mis-steps in the weave along with imperfections that can be buffed out. The guy told me that if I wanted them with extreme perfection, it takes longer to make and cost about double . I personally would rather spend that money in getting the hatch painted, inwhich the prep-work will fix those imperfections ANYWAYS!

for some reason its not letting me put pics on...
but do you mean thissss!? SIK!!!!

In the meantime, with the fenders on the hood, they are tricky to get on, you cant use the clips IMO. I bought this http://www.flickr.com/photos/26039383@N08/2439679997/
which was about 2 buck each from walmart and made my own way to get the fenders on cleanly with the cf hood.

Hey now,
That's not the type of talk we're looking for here...
The Gel coat is pretty good and will hold up, most people don't coat the hood's or and CF pieces when they get em, I've never known of an at least...
And it can always be done later if you start to see any wear or anything of that nature... Come on man, this deal won't be around again.... Not for this price

Have you looked at my hood? Since it has sat out front in the direct sun for the last few weeks...it is so tore up. You NEED to clearcoat it or its gonna take a number 2 on you. If I do buy a hatch I will keep it boxed until I can get another hood, doors and fenders and clear it all at once. The I will sell my hood to someone who is gonna paint it. Now, Im not trying to dissuade anyone from getting in on this. You actually will save alot of money buying itnow and clearing it then down the road. But, I want to throw that out there so people who have no clue dont b1tch down the road.

Hey Brian...I cant remember off the top of my head but put it this way. I almost dropped a nut trying to pick up and maneuver the OEM hood. With the ViS one I could pick it up with my pinky finger....no kidding. Im guessing 20lbs+ or so? The OEM was just really heavy and awkward.

It's actually not bad... As I posted earlier however, ALL mounting holes for interior and exterior trim and wiring will have to be measured and drilled or redrilled. As you can see we opted to not put the rear wiper back in... Also it takes some fishing to get the rear wiring harness through. We actually cut it and re-spliced to get it through the CF maze...Also those wanting a rear CF hatch you will not be able to put a rear spolier on.(At least I haven't been able to confirm within a shadow of a doubt it will not pull out of the CF,better safe than out $525!!!) If anyone out there can give me a good argument it will not pull out I'm willing to listen.

we have had a rear spoiler on the race car for 4 years, right now it's an Aero spoiler, before that it was a huge GT style wing. So you can indeed put one on.

since it goes on with 3m double sided automotive adhesive, it works fine.

I just emailed VIS about putting an OEM wing on it with the bolts. Now I just have to wait for the response.
