Yah, their CF doors would look rough if their fitment was anything like the cf hood fitment.

all the CF hoods I have installed by them have been excellent. While it's not a "bolt on" they are very nice, much better than other companies I have used.

I've never worked with one....just going based off images I've seen of cars with the VIS hoods. Most of them still look kinda open cause of the bottom hood line where it meets the front bumper. It almost flares up towards the arches. Your's and JP's line up pretty well though so it may just be some VIS hoods

Oh that does look a little off doesn't it... is there a way to compensate with the bumper for that gap?

Yes there is a way to compensate on the bumper...located attached to the two 8mm bolts you must get from the fenderliner are bumper adjustments...just loosen them, pull the bumper up and then tighten them. that simple.

R53 CF Roof Cap?

I'm still stuck on the CF roof thing.

My R53 came with the sunroof and what I eventually want to do is remove it completely and cap the whole thing with CF. We know that Duell makes a cap for the R56. Even if they made one for the R53, the cost of shipping and duties/customs would make ordering one from Japan prohibitive.

Did someone say they know a company in the U.S. that could do this?

I would think Seibon has better fitment than VIS, in my experience Seibon has been more consistent with their CF hoods/hardtops/trunks.

No install pics yet!
However just finished the install. Got the hatch back from clear coat earlier this afternoon. I am getting glass tomorrow so Might get pics up tomorrow...most likely after I get tint which wont be for a few days. As for the install, get some of these
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...2&postcount=26
they work well for the handle, and license plate bracket. You will have to drill for the rubber grommet, and do something tricky with your wiring...I am sacrificing FM radio because I have SIRIUS...
Will check everyday to help answer any questions

I have no experience with the seibon, but the fittment and quality of the ViS is good. There is fabrication needed, i wonder if the seibon is the same way...

I took my stock one off, but it doesnt have the bolt holes pre-drilled on the CF hatch, im wondering if people drilled the holes, or just hacked the bolts and did all double-sided tape...
