Wet Okoles: Reg seats vs Sport seats

Hi, everyone!

Rec'd my Wet Okoles on 04/29/08 but couldn't install them since Schultze was still in the hospital.

Well, now he's out & I installed the Wet Okoles...still having a HECK of a time getting the bottom part of the back seat to snap back into place...

One thing that I've noticed is that the front bottoms don't fit very well at all and I was wondering if that's a common situation?

Schultze has the Sport seats--it's been a long time since I've seen regular seats, so I can't remember if the bottom of the regular seats are as "plump" as the Sport seats.

It's dark already so I can't take any pics, but I will in the morning.

I'm just wondering if the Wet Okoles aren't fitting well because of the shape difference between the two types of R50 seats.

Help?!

Erika

Oh...and another observation: the sides of the front bottoms don't seem to fit very well over the seat adjustment handle that's next to/behind the "door-side" knee of the front seat occupants. Is there a trick/tip to temporarily removing the handle so the material can be fitted behind it when the handle is reinstalled? Same for the plastic trim on the edge that is nearest the e-brake console.

Thanks!

Did you take the seats out of the car? If not that is the easiest method to install these. Just unbolt the seats from the floor of the car (4 torx bolts each) and take them out.

Erika -- Please post final results. I am considering Wet Okole covers also. Yours is the first complaint I have seen. If they do not really fit as well as I had expected, I might reconsider. Thanks.

Scott...

What about the airbag sensors? I've been told there are certain steps that must be followed so that the airbag light doesn't stay on when the seats are reinstalled.

There are 1 or 2 electrical plugs under the seats. Just unplug them before taking the seat out and plug them back when the seats go back in. Make sure the key is not in the ignition.
