Interior/Exterior compatible headliners

actually doesn't look too bad. I figured it would look out of place or half finished, but if i didnt know any better, id believe the contrasting look was oem.
here are some of my more recent pics...
i used the opportunity to soundproof the interior a little better.
as you can see, im still waiting on the handles...and i just recently replaced the dome light and module cover to match

finally got my handles in from oxford england. here is the run down of parts i got in order to retro the handle and lateral visor
-sheet metal screws (2) ---- list 25cents each, i paid 20cents
-hex bolts (6) ---- list 36 cents each, i paid 29cents
-lateral visor ---- list 42.42, i paid 33.94
-front handle ---- list 4.78, i paid 3.82
-lateral visor bracket (2) ---- list 3.33 each, i paid 2.66
total came to about $45
ive looked on realoem.com to see how to install these, but i'm still not sure. I will be going to look at a MINI this afternoon that has these installed from factory, so that should set me straight. Wish me luck, and i'll report the results soon.

I'm in the process of re-doing my headliner and a few other bits in the interior and was wondering if ANYONE has managed to re-use the C-pillars without having to cut the strap. I would really prefer not to have to pay ~$80 for new pillars.
The headliner and pillars should be done by tomorrow. The door panels might take a little longer though.

theyre 100% reusable, its just that stupid strap. honestly, you can buy your own strap from the crafts department. its only purpose is to keep the part from becoming a projectile in the event of the airbags deploying. theres nothing special about it.
seems like someone claimed to do it once, but for me, it just wasnt worth the effort. goodluck

We finished the headliner and pillars today, will continue to re-do parts of the interior in the next few weeks.
The C-Pillar was removed as was the factory clip. Re-used the pillar WITH the clip. It can be done, kind of a pain in the *** to get the clip loose though. I'll add pics to this post in a bit.
