I am looking for a pair of headlight rings and washer covers to paint PW. I thought I'd bring this thread back to see what anyone else has done lately. If you have any extra rings lying around I would love to buy them. Thanks. I'll post some pics once I finally get everything painted.

 

We PlastiDipped ours a few weeks ago. It was easier to take them off than to put them back on the headlights.

 

I am just interested in body color. I might pd part of the scuttles but def painting the rings.

 

i had my headlight rings & hood scoop painted in aircraft grade black paint, its supposed to be chip-proof so we'll see

 

I keep pulling this thread up from the grave. Anyone seen a thread about painting the outside parts of an aero grill ??

I took mine to a paint guy and he did it for like $60 including paint. I imagine you would just remove the chrome and then paint as you would the headlight rings. Those grill surrounds pop off.

 

I went ahead and bought the aero grill. I may have someone paint the outside of it or try it myself. Not sure about the paint yet. I'm going to get it to fit real nice and then see about the paint. Tell me about that piece you have on the bumper if you have a moment!

 

I took the aero grill that goes there and had my paint guy fill it in, smooth it out, and paint it body color.

 

We're both in Indy. Could you point me towards this paint guy? I was at that Mazda place last year with Way same day as you.. U a north sider?

 

Bloomington, actually. The guy I go to runs a shop called Twice As Nice out of his garage. I'm sure there's someone in Indy that can do the same thing.

 

Also, I don't really remember anyone from that day (so long ago), but hello.

 

I had mine done in vinyl about 4 years ago and it's held up very well.

Going to paint my headlight rings gloss black today. Does anyone have a photo of a BRG with black rings? I can't find ANY!
