Interior/Exterior Alarm Install (description and pics)

Great write-up scoot! I've always wondered what those little holes were in the rear cubby fender-seam, and that wire there, and why there was so much space around the brake system, and...
How do you like the function? Does it chirp when armed/disarmed? Does it have any adjustments or configurable options?

Don't know yet. Having it activated tomorrow morning, when I get my first oil change.
From all that I've read, there is no chirp when you arm/disarm it. Only chirp is when you arm it and there is a door/hatch open.
Also nothing adjustable or configurable as far as I know (except for diabling the motion & tilt sensors by pushing the lock button twice).

The alarm is now activated. No chirp. When it is armed, the wiper LED flashes fast for 30 seconds, then goes to a slow flash. I tested the motion sensor by leaving a window open and waving my hand inside. Siren went off and was fairly loud, but not as loud as some alarms I've heard.
I had originally planned to relocate the siren inside the cabin deep under the dash. When I installed the siren I discovered that the wiring to it runs along the firewall as expected but also runs behind other components of the engine, making it difficult to unwrap the tape needed to reroute it.
I now need to decide whether to leave it as it is, or splice an extension cable at the connector. The amount of slack there now isn't even long enough to go directly through the firewall at that location.
Why do I want the siren inside? Because everyone ignores car alarm sirens, and it's put to much better use deafening the thief that's pawing around inside my car.
