Ok.. So I feel the need to "decorate" my MCS.. I'm not really into stripes, so here's a mockup of something I came up with (partly stolen) The wife said she'd never ride in it again if they were red...

The stolen part reworked... Oh, the MINIUSA.COM is gone now... German EuroPlate "VMPYRDAVID"

The Side...BTW, the autox numbers are magnets....

Well? To Bling/Rice/whatever??

I'd go with bright orange. I always liked flames on cars.

I like the look....its subtle and very nice with PS. If you like flames, go with it! I mean, other colors might look nice, too, but everyday...in normal driving...on neighborhood streets? Subtle might be better. My opinion...

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking... Subtle. I like the idea of the ghost flames & whatnot, but that's a little too subtle. And like I said, my wife says she won't go Motoring with me if it has BRIGHT RED flames on it... hehe. So, should I do both sets (scoop & sides) or just the scoop?

  Personally, I would like it only on the bonnet......but that is a personal choice for you to make...

On closer inspection let me say I really like the way the side flame comes up over the rear wheel trim. Nice touch!

I like the look - it's very different from any other MINI's I've seen. And those color flames look great on that color MINI. Personally, I would like it only on the bonnet......but that is a personal choice for you to make...
Thanks D/M, the bonnet idea I stole from BMarvin81's signature....reworked it to include the actual scoop.

On closer inspection let me say I really like the way the side flame comes up over the rear wheel trim. Nice touch!
Thanks JDS, The side flames are kinda tattoo-y looking, and yeah, i stretched it out a bit to go to the rear wheel...

I'm gonna start with the bonnet, and see how that feels. Going to get an estimate now... Maybe a sponsorship for Autox... hehe

Get 'em in Blood Red.

Wife won't ride in the MINI, sheesh, like Vampires have wives.

LOL

It's called a steady supply......

I don't know why I didn't think of that.... but it is a good suggestion.... hence the creation of this thread....

What about Velvet Red.

I think I'm going to forgo the side flames right now... stick with the Bonnet/Scoop one. Got a quote of $150 - $175 installed.

That's good, too.....a little more edgy. I still like the shadow treatment, but both are good. What will the constant supply think? Seriously, though, if I were ever going to get flames, those would be them!! Oh wait...I have no scoop!...grrrrrrrr!

You're getting there but it looks a bit like its beginning to coagulate (scab) to me. Make it brighter, MAKE IT BLEED.

Kewl! I think the similar-colored flames works very well. The red isn't quite the right red and makes too strong a statement. I was just at a classic car show and saw some champagne-colored flames on a white plymouth Fury and it was awesome!

Silver is the sexiest color on the mini - subtle, refined. So my rec' would be if you want the flames on the doors - I would too - I would get rid of the two other graphic elements. All three together seems too busy and clashy to me.

Hope that helps!

Other two graphic elements??? OOOOOhhh those are just autocross magnets... all the pics I have of the side of the car were at autocrosses... hence the magnets.. I only have those on when autoxing. I am doing a new number "logo".. I'll post it in a bit.

My vote is for the "shadow flames." I just think that the red is a bit much. But you do have the whole vampire thing going, so I would get it if they were blood red...but of course, then you've got the wife to deal with. Stick with silver.

Also: nice Photoshop work there. I was just thinking how amazing it is that virtually every person on MCO has Photoshop. It's not cheap software. I'm sure they're all registered, legal versions!

Talk to Matt at Cooperflags. He's got flames for your bonnet and can make them up in just about any color you want.
