Here is my '05 BEP MCS with all painted mouldings. I think it looks pretty sharp, even on a darker coloured car (though it's certainly less noticable). Done by the dealer for about $1600 Cdn (can't remember if that was before or after tax).

Trim Paint Holds Up Over Time?

Nice to see the painted black trim they all look great and I especially liked pur&simple I noticed you just used the side aero trim pieces I think that choice was a great way to go I am not crazy about the front and rear aero pieces especially at the prices they charge for those puppies.

I do have a question to everyone that has had their trim bits painted and was hoping someone could respond. How many have had the trim painted, installed and running for at least a year And if so have you experienced any chipping, cracking or peeling

In other words I am trying to determine if the trim pieces painted after time stay as good looking as the rest of the body paint. Thanks

I have had mine painted for over 40,000 miles (a bit over two years), from Extreme Heat to Extreme Cold. There are a few chips all over the car, but you cannot drive around flying stones. There is no cracking or peeling. As long as they are painted correctly and you use a flex agent in paint and primer, you will be just fine.

I paid $900 for the kit (from Mini of Sterling) and $1100 for everything to be painted for a total of $2000. To have the kit painted and installed from the dealer was $2800. I can see how my original post would indicate $1100 for everything (sorry).
$1100 for a lifetime paint guarantee is pretty good IMO, and the color match is perfect.
Thanks Bronson for the kind words
