You know, i really didn't even notice that.. I thought something looked different about Mr. Blue Sky... it really looks nice with the painted arches in that blue color... I like the black on the chili red though... like one of my co-workers said, it looks like an outline, like when you draw somethign, it has that black outline...

the black does look good with the darker colors, but not so good with the lighter ones. If you compare Mr. Blue Sky with one of the other electric blue mini's, Mr. Blue, I think looks a lot better.

It may have the aero kit, but I'm pretty sure the aero kit does not include painting the fender flares. I have a brochure on mini accessories that shows an indi blue mini with the aero kit, but the fenders are still black.
Think I've just about talked my self into the paint though. What's an extra 500, 1000.....?
I AM OBSESSED WITH MINI!!!!!!

WHOA!! I just noticed you call your car Emma Peel. That is fabulous! I loved the Avengers back when. And Diana Rigg in a leather jumpsuit? Well, what can I say? My tongue is hanging out just thinking about it. "Mrs. Peel, we're needed". J.S.
I'm going to get a personalized euro style front plate that says, "I ME MINI". It (he) will be called George, after the late great Mr. Harrison.
Oh, and by the way, Mrs. Peel drove a Lotus Elan. But, you probably knew that.

bigmini,
Your right....... the painted arches are not included in the aero pkg.
He had his dealers body shop sand (to smooth) and paint them.
I think it looks great!!!

It is a long process, because you will have to sand the plastic I guess, the plastic will not hold the paint. Even after the painting, it is questionable that how rigid the plastic is to hold the paint... I got couple of price quotes as cheap as $500.00 on a non Aero, however i would spend the extra to get the aero kit and paint the wheel arches.

But he does have the front bumper and the aero side skirts. If the whole kit is $1350 from the dealer, even at a discount the parts have to run about $800. I doubt you can get everything painted for $300. Too much prep work. But I do like the look. Not sure if it will work on my LY, but I am thingking of painting the trim pieces in black.

I had mine done at B & R in Pompano Beach. The total was $850 for everything, all prep work and paint.
Had purchased the factory side skirts from factory ($450) and rear apron from a friend ($100) and all the remaining pieces from Classic Auto ($120 - wheel arches, etc). Did the installation myself, so total for everything was $1520 with all new pieces.
When you take out a piece (wheel arch, for example), there is no other way to get it off the car without breaking the pieces that connect it. So was better to purchase the rest of the trim.
Now that I think about it, 1520 is expensive, but I'm including every single thing I can remember, and honestly, I know when I look at "THIR13EN" that it was well worth it.
Take care,
Leo.
PS: Now I have the stock trim pieces for sale, if anybody's interested. lol.
