My boyfriend got my tail-lights tinted for Sugar's b-day. I really like them, can't wait to get my fender lights done.

how come urs have chrome grilles and his has black?

As I said in the BRG club thread I really like your color combo. I think BRG looks awesome with the aero kit and rally lights Is your mini lowered? It looks low

 

I had the dealership put in the chrome grill with the Aero Kit (i really didn't like the look of the black). The top piece fits fine, it's the bottom piece that doesn't fit, they had to build up the body kit a little to get it to fit properly. But I think that after they did mine, they don't really like doing too many of them at the dealership. My MINI isn't lowered, the Aero Kit drops the look of it about an inch or so. I had an interior shop do the work here in Phoenix. His webpage is http://www.theinteriorshop.com. He is located in Phoenix, if anyone ever comes to Arizona he can do a headliner in a couple of days (of course, you have to setup an appointment with him). But he does really good custom work.

 

Go to Lamin-x for all your tinted tail lights and headlight needs.

 

the lamin-x tint covers the entire light, so you cannot see the chrome ring on the inside of the light.. this was a custom job... there is no film and it won't peel off :smile:

 

So is this like regular window tint that was used? I was thinking of doing that since the lamin-x film is really dark and I'd be asking for a citation.

It is actually just clearcoat with black added. My boyfriend had a paint guy do the work for us. This way we still get the chrome outline. When the lights are on they have a little smokey look to them.
