Bonnet painted roof color

Greetings,
I could not find a thread on this subject so forgive me if there is already one.

I have a C/B 06 MCS. The bonnet is pretty thrashed from stones and whatnot. I am going to get it fixed, however I came across a fairly new Black bonnet for a pretty good price. It has me thinking...

I am wondering does anyone have pictures of a black bonnet and black roof on red, or actually any other body color, except black of course.

Thanks,
Jason

Well, I think it woudl look fine.

Similar to the contrast of a CF hood on a red car, without the carbon fiber look of course!

It may look "cheap" though similar to those beat up cars you see running around with a green drivers door and a tan passenger door and a silver hood when the car was all black. lol

Thanks for your reply. Yes, that is a consideration. I dont want the car to look like patchworked quilt.
Was hoping for a few photos but maybe it's such a bad idea no one has done it or seen it.
I think I'll have my wife photo-shop a black hood onto a picture of mine and post it just for an FYI...

Photoshop is a good way to do it.

I have not personally seen anyone with a Bonnet other than their car's color or carbon fiber.

It may look great though, you never know!

hmm... would the black or the red hood scoop look better?
The red scoop may tie the color scheme together, but it's hard to tell with only a mental image.

Did you ever find any pictures? Sounds interesting and I'm wondering what a black hood(bonnet) on a dark silver would look like.

if you take a look at autoxcopper, they have a red with the carbon fiber hood...it should give you an idea at least
