Thanks !

And if there was ever an honest opinion, it would be from a person named, "call it spade".

OMG, those wheels are GORGEOUS!
Great choice, it makes me want to get rid of the stock wheels (as soon as my Mini gets here) sigh...

Thanks a lot... quite a compliment !

And some of the OEM wheels are pretty nice. I love the 5-Star wheels I have on my CR Cooper... super easy to clean, look nice, and they also have a lot of open space to allow the red calipers to be seen.

my wheels i have now are SO hard to clean it's frustrating. and they're best friends with brakedust so they stick together and have a good bond going.

I highly recommend getting rid of those dust producing OEM pads. Go with some low-dust, high performing pads. Me... I went with Hawk ceramic pads. L O V E them.

I also give my wheels a good coat of wax (Epic) and hit them with some Slick every two weeks (every other wash). Others love to use Wheel Shield on theirs. Either is good. Makes cleaning them much easier.

It transforms the look of your car from "cruiser" to "athletic". Nice choice!

The wheels look great. How much easier are they to clean? I have been looking at them in light grey.

I am disappointed that you can only easily make out 8 sunbursts in the first photo. Car looks great as always.

Thanks ! I've only had to clean them once, so far, and they were much easier to clean than the S-heavies. I love having all that room to get my hands in there (and the toothbrush to clean the brake dust off the calipers). Not as easy to clean as the OEM 5-Stars on my CR Cooper... but hey, you can't have everything.

Yeah, not too many sunbursts in these pics. My record is still 11 of them. I'll do better next time.

So have you gotten the center caps from Aesthetic Creations yet? Curious to see what you chose.

Yep, got them about a month ago. Haven't taken any pics yet. I will soon, though. Stay tuned. And thanks for asking.

Yep, a few months later and I'm lovin' these wheels, Paul.

Not as easy to clean as I expected, but they don't seem to pick up the brake dust like the S-Heavies did.

I rate them a 9.2 out of 10.

Why hasn't some company come up with plugs to fill in the holes not being used on these type of multi fit rims ? Even if they had some black one's, it's better than looking at a rusted hub..........BTW nice job on the calipers.....what kit did you use ?

Extra holes are good - just shoot your hub and hat with some high temp flat black paint and all is well

Good question !! I thought maybe my shop would have done something with the hub before they installed the wheels... too much to ask, I guess.

Next time I have the wheels off, I'll have to do something.

And that brake caliper paint kit, it's the G2 kit.

Okay. It was a nice day so I finally got a couple of photos of the new wheel center caps to go along with Dr. Evil's new wheels. As you can see, I went with the Red/Black UJ design with the MINI Wings in the center.

First, a reminder of the wheels as they came from the vendor:

And now with the new center caps:

And notice how clean those wheels are, even after several months. A coat of Epic, a coat of Slick, and Griots Wheel Cleaner.
