Check Out Dr Evil's New Shoes!

When we bought Dr Evil a little over a year ago, we loved the S-Lites on him. But they were a little scuffed up. Then I painted the brake calipers, thinking they'd look great in red, to go along with the other red accents on the MINI. But with the S-Lites, you really couldn't see much of the calipers at all.

Solution... new wheels.

Before:

After:

I'm not done with those wheels yet. I'm going to put some new center caps on them as soon as they arrive from Aesthetic Creations. And I may or may not put some new valve stem caps on them (x 8).

VERY sporty!! I like your approach to open visible access to those calipers. Kudos.

The second valve stem is so you can put a pressure guage on one and fill on the other. Needed for exact pressures when you race, I guess.

NICE!

I thought the two stems were for purging air when doing Nitrogen fill....

Right... for purging out the old air and filling with new stuff (Nitrogen). But I already had them filled with Nitrogen so in my case, in the event I want to go with that normal stuff.

Nice wheels! You may want to get a nice brush for washing them. My Koseis are a pain to clean, but worth the efforts!

Thanks !

And hey... I'm an OCDetailer. Don't worry, already have them waxed and Slicked. One of the reasons I bought these is because I find the thin spokes a lot easier to clean than those fat-spoked S-Lites... more room to work.
