Installing Canadian Armrest in my 09 Justa
Hi,
I got this armrest for my 2009 Cooper a couple of weeks ago http://armrest-autoaccessories.com/p..._545b0632.html and I'm having trouble installing what seemed to be a really simple thing.
There are just 4 holes at the base of the armrest that you drill through to the base between the handbrake and rear cupholder. Easy enough.
I can drill trough to the back holes (haven't done it yet, just made my reference marks) but I can't reach a pencil to make my marks, let alone a drill at the front.
My seat is in the way and I can't move it too much forward or backwards to get to it!
Any suggestions? I really like this armrest and can't wait to actually use it.
thanks for any insight!

Copy from the armrest website:
ecological leather
You may need to remove your seats; you need a T-40 Torx Drive tool and each seat rail has a T-Bolt at each end.
There is a cable and plug into the underside of the seat (yellow w/black locking tab):
VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT TURN ON IGNITION WHILE UNPLUGGED.
Some even disconnect battery, but not needed; however if ignition is on while seat cable is unplugged,
you will get an AIRBAG WARNING that can only be re-set by the MINI Dealer
It is very easy to install.
No special tool required.
It comes complete with fitting kit(screws, washers, masking cups) and instructions.
It opens for storage, and folds out of the way if not needed
Carpeted finish inside the storage.
Padded lid made of ecological leather.

I liked this one the best:

Genuine MINI product, less than 0:20 minute install, sturdy build and comfortable enough for two elbows

Thanks Pilotart! I was messing with my armrest again, and I think I can do it, if I drill at an angle. I've emailed the Euro Dudes about the armrest I have and no one has gotten back to me (they may not like having any returns, but that's how you get good ratings. I'm not happy about them right now. Thank goodness for the NAM-Family!

Check out this thread about the armrest. I posted some pictures and details in that thread.
