What was your M.O. for the gas cap and the door handles?

 

I've been a bit on the fence about totally dechroming, but slowlly over the years have blacked out the car. First a Joey mod, then painted the headlight rings, added an aero grill and covered the tails with ruby red tint. Last Friday I was at one of our other stores waiting for a meeting, and found out they had recently got some equipment to do powder coating, 15 minutes later I had the oem rally lights off and disassembled and had the fellas powder coat them black.

 

Hey lilbaybt228...nice job on the blackout. how did you do your rims black? did you just cover like he did and spray the rims 2-3 times(after letting them dry each time)? does the Plasti-Dip last on the rims through the driving and different weather conditions?

 

I have been slowly removing chrome too, but am on the fence about going over to total blackout.
