i actually am fine with the r53 gas cap..and i do indeed want to get the oricari vent scoops..i think they look awesome..doesnt really add anything performance wise..but i like i like

also..interior and engine pics..are pretty much the same as yours or any other stock mini..
my engine bay is dirty..gotta clean it..
as for the interior..i am trying to get my hands on a cheap 3 piece dash..
i want to paint them pw along with some of the other interior bits in my car..that..probably wont be for a while tho..

other than that..thanks to everyone for all the comments so far

Great look. Very clean/sharp and not overboard. Awesome Joey Mod too!

How about some of those silver wheel arch reflectors instead of those orange and red one's ????

Or tint them dark like the wheel rims and trim.....

I just got my Oricari scoops last week. Today I sanded off some imperfections, tapped the holes for the grilles, and painted insides flat black preparing for OEM painting on outside.....these scoops were hard to find, but definately worth it.......

show some pics of your orciari scoops!! im dying to get my hands on one..im really short on money as of right now..
im saving wat i have for black friday tho.. if i buy something i buy something if not..then extra cash to pay off some of my cards..
lowest i found them for was 160 including shipping from this one website but otherwise..its pretty steep in price..but indeed looks awesome..

and i've been trying to get my hands on clear reflectors..some showed up on ebay but i missed my chance at them..and i've been waiting ever since for them to show up..no luck so far..hopefully soon!

You don't need to paint it. You can cover it with black vinyl. It is much easier that way

I like the joey mod in white, never seen that before, where is your rear bumper tow hook cover?

Not telling you what to do but, i think a blacked out gas cap and a stubby antenna would look killer.

that uh..cover? kinda..fell off? while i was driving..
one day my bumper looked weird and then i came to notice it was missing..when i take my car to the dealer for inspection II then i'll tell em about it..hopefully they dont charge me..as i will paint it myself
but i do have a stubby antenna..just never got around to putting it on cause im paranoid that someone's gonna take it..
and i have actually blacked out the gas cap before..then i switched to making it pw..i dunno which one i want more

Awesome

That is a clean looking car. I agree without the decals it looks even smoother. I really like what you've done. The Joey Mod looks awesome on that car as well, much better than some other ones I've seen around.

Maybe one day when I'm cruising back to my parents on leave I could swing by and you show me how to do it in person. I have no confidence when I'm working with things like that. Especially since I just bought my 04 MCS about a week ago.

Nice work!

I am getting ready to put on stripes and need to know if there is a process or trick to taking off the 'Mini' emblems on the hood and trunk? I took off the rear inside plastic cover on the trunk to get access, but the emblem is covered by a formed/welded inner body panel.....

Cheers,
Randy in AZ

thanks drsilvermini!! right now its covered in pw vinyl but its a bit more white than the actual pw but i'll probably end up painting it in pw so it'll match up better

and to 970S..just use fishing lin and/or dental floss and seesaw it in between the emblem and the car of course.
but there are 2 tabs for both front and back emblems and goes through two holes in the actual body of the car
if you look carefully at my pictures you'll see holes where the emblems are

Car looks GREAT! I'm actually in a similar process, so far I have my gas cap and sidemarkers color matched. I will be color matching my headlight rings and door handles as well. I think your Joey mod looks GREAT but I don't know that it would look as good with Chili Red. I think my black trim will need painting as well.
