Personally I'd rather be down for red

 

I like driving with mine on. Red sends out a beacon to Johnny Law.

 

My purples are mounted under the dash, under the center columns, and in the 2 hvac vents next to the speedo. More to come. I use LEDs as neons can give you problems later on. They are subtle enough to create a nice atmosphere and allow the car to be driven without attracting attention from everybody's favorite Johnny Law. I'll be back home mid month and will take pictures. I like purple accents because it reminds me of the stereotypical color of the felt lining in a coffin.

 

Red makes it look like your inside a submarine.

 

In my CR and JB MINIs, I did bright white LED Dome lights and red door sill and footwell lights. SWEET !!

 

I have two 9 in. neon tubes under the dash and one 48 in. tube right behind the front seats. It lights everything up! And my pure silver dash looks like a lusterous candy that I could just lick up.

First, make sure you keep you dash CLEAN.

Second, make sure you don't use any TOXIC cleaners.
