I like the fact that i can remove them. plus it has the cooper s stamped into the gas cap. this way later down the road if i get tired of them i can sell them. or just take them off for now.

I just want to know if their out or not. He hasn't responded my e-mails.

"The flat black parts are the easiest to make so I will have them out to you before I leave for AMVIV."

He's a cool guy, but I hope to get my stuff soon.

Same day I ordered but I've heard nothing yet. When I placed my order it was clearly posted on the site that it could take up to 6 weeks...

I ordered some accent bits from AC last fall. Overall, I was very pleased with my order, they have some cool and innovative items. That said, I do recall it taking a little time to arrive. But then I figured this probably isn't a big operation (1-2 people) and likely not a full time gig for them either. They say patience is a virtue...hang in, guys...

Just an FYI: I ordered a set of the very first CF door handles from AC. I waited for 2.5 months and was very happy with the final product. Hand made stuff takes time. He's not like those places that spit parts out of machines. Have patience and you will be rewarded.

I know the products are good and worth the wait. I just don't like being given a time frame and then not keeping the promise.

Hey guys this I'd Mike from AC. First off. Thanks for all your orders and patience in getting them to you.
I was realy hoping to get some parts made before I left for AMVIV but I was not able to work on them before I left. Events always take me a lot longer to get ready for than I think. I've been up till 3 and 6 in the morning preparing for AMVIV. So I'm sorry to those few poeple that i promised to get your parts before the event but it just didn't work out that way.

I will be working on these as soon as I get back though. With that said remember that it's only me making these parts and they are in very hi demand so it's going to take loner then normal to get theses parts out. Right now I have over 120 orders to fill. All this came in that month and a good majority came in while we were on a much needed vacation.

I know we are a bit on the slow side but it's well worth the wait. Remember that AC is the only company in the world making these parts.

Well, I got mine Monday. Waited 1 day short of 5 weeks for delivery.

I ordered flat black door handle covers. My car is all (mostly) black.
I was going to order the headlight rings and emblem covers, but I wanted to see what they looked and fit like before I spent that kind of cash. I'm glad I didn't order the other stuff.

The fit is SH@i. They are too short. They don't cover all the chrome.
On a black car it stands out like a bright light.
The pics are poor. I did them in the garage at night but I'm sure you'll get the Idea.

I e-mailed Mike Monday night and didn't hear a word.
So, I e-mailed him again last night and still haven't.

Looks like I'm out $50 bucks plus the shipping. Again I'm glad I didn't buy everything.

MAN! I sooo wanted them to look good.

Well I'm sorry you're disappointed with your purchase, but may I suggest a simple fix? How about wrapping the edges of your door handle with some black electrical tape, that should make the little bit of contrasting chrome disappear.

I understand your just trying to be cool and help.

For $50.00+ I shouldn't have to use tape. The pics that show the product and the description didn't mention "you may have to use tape to make it look presentable".
If it did, I sure wouldn't pay $50....or $80.-100.00 for headlight trim.

Thanks anyway

This issue has been covered extensively in other threads without anyone insulting the vendor's quality.

In years of modding cars I've never seen a custom part that fits 100% like OEM. I've always been really happy with a 99% perfect fit. In my experience most fit about 80%. My ALTA intake has a huge spot at the bottom where it doesn't fit the stock box and this is a really well reviewed product.

The fix for getting rid of the chrome space is to wrap the edges of the door handles with black trim tape or vinyl or whatever suits your fancy before mounting the handles.

This is all exhaustively covered here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...r-handles.html

I understand that you don't "feel like" you should have to do anything other than press them on but this isn't a OEM part it's a modification. By definition it will need some tweaking.

If Mike is taking a while to get back to you, my guess is that he's working until he collapses on getting product out to customers. He's an honest guy and will get back to you, have patience.

Put some tape on there, press the parts on, let the adhesive set, step back and marvel at how good they look, smile and go for a drive!
