No worries, jbell! This first photo was a rush job with very low light (that's a handheld photo at ISO6400 would you believe!)
Anyway, the product went on just as you had said--and as the videos I watched revealed. It's surprisingly malleable and forgiving! It requires some planning and patience, but that's true of any good job.
I will certainly be getting more of it. I've decided to use it in the interior rather than the exterior. Not because I don't think it will hold up, but all my exterior CF is real, and glossy and this would just add another texture on those surfaces. But it works very well in the interior--with more texture and non-glossy it matches fabrics and vinyl textures very well.
I will post more photos, and please use them at will.

Another photo with detail from the center section. The dash parts were quite easy to cover, whereas the downtubes were harder due to very complex curves. The vinyl will stretch, but doesn't shrink when heated, so you must anticipate where to start (the shorter side) and where to finish (the longer side).

I'm glad to hear it was easy to do. I forget how "newbies" work, and sometimes it's hard to judge how difficult something will be.
It looks fantastic btw.
Good idea mentioning that the vinyl doesn't shrink when heated. (that proves your roof or what not will never pull up around the edges)
I see you did the downtubes in one piece. Nice job. I didn't even think of doing that. I was planning to do them in 2 pieces and leave the front seam.

I ordered myself a wrap too, just got it today, and installed them and i gotta admit, it was really hard going through the vents and curves, Any Advise on how to do it? im going to re-do it since i have one more set
I think i tighten the cover so much that when i start doing the vent, there wasn't much slack to use, is that the reason why it wouldnt stretch? i'll post pictures and show u guys what i mean. but overall, i really like the look of it

I just checked with my local 3m supplier here in Canada and the stuff is way cheaper than buying it online...there is ahuge markup on this product. You should check out the 3m site.
Carbonfibre are selling for $16/sq foot. My local guy sells the same stuff for $3/sq foot or $12/ roll foot 48" wide. They have other colours too. I'm thinking matt black for my dash.
