Thanks for turning me onto the GP trim, Partsman - finally got the last pieces from Germany today, put it on and it ROCKS. Really completes the rear view of the cabrio. Wish I had done it years ago. Pics don't do this mod justice.

...I was actually driving around like that for a while, before I put the grilles in.

Is there something in particular you want to see?
I actually like the way it looks without the fake grilles in. How easy are they to snap out? I think im going to remove them today.

Duh. I didn't know they made one! I thought it looked like it said "MINI" in the center... Could you please provide the part number? Also, to prevent further stupid questions, is there a pdf master list or catalog for accessories and options?

Sorry for the necropost. I finally ordered this part, but it came as a rolled up die-cut flat piece of black plastic. It has the correct part number on the box. Does anyone know if BMW changed this part? If so, how can I get the molded part? Thanks in advance.

Yep bringing this one back to life...

For those of you who have done this, how did you cut the heat shield? Did you use a tin shear or a grinder?

I am thinking about doing this myself. I have the bumper open to install the MDM hitch.

Thanks!

I traced the whole onto the heat shield (i.e. ran a color marker) and then used a I used a serrated steak knife.
