Just ordered mine. I requested two of the Do Not Press instead of two of the Panic, hope this is possible.

Ordered.

Now who's good with plastic? We need a military aircraft-style missile release trigger, complete with the flip-up safety cover, to stick on the middle console button in R56's!

Placed my order this evening. Just traded my '06 MC in on a very gently used '08 MCS today. Ready to personalize! This is the perfect item to start with.

Thanks for offering these!

There's an alternative to a plastic doohicky in my album. No fly boy high tech stuff, it's the infantry model, LOL. BTW, I'm the fiend who started the Panic Button monster. I love it!!

OOPS, see page 4 of this thread.

OOPS, see page 4 of this thread.
So this was all YOUR idea? Yes, a fiend indeed. (You should be getting a commission from Lyle, though!)

So what (and where) is this infantry-version trigger thing? Looking at the interior shot in your gallery, I only see gages, the stuff on the dash, and of course that essential Panic button. Maybe I'll yank a joy stick off an old defunct game controller ... yeah.

Uff DA, guess I didn't explain that "OOPS" very well. The pic ain't in my gallery, it's in my post on page 4 of this thread. If Lyle want's to come across with 50% of the profits, I 'spose I might take it!

PS: Ain't no stink'in safety latch on the grunt model !!

I've never applied a vinyl product before. Could someone post up how to do it and what the hairdryer is for?

Lady,
Do you smooth the edges down and a bit "under" before blow-drying? I'm like Babalouie; I need a tutorial.

These are fun! I'm gonna order when my car gets here...soon...

As I don't have my MINI yet and can't remember from the test drive, do all MINI's have this same round button on the glove box? I am getting a 2010 MCC. Thanks!

And what's the deal with the "climate controlled" glove box any way? Is it just as simple as it gets cold when you use AC and hot when you use heat or is their some way to specifically control it regardless of the outside temp? What if i don't want my candy to melt when it's cold and I am using the heater? Seriously, I'm not joking. Nothing worse than melted chocolate I took from my kid's pumpkin!

I had a 2009 conv. as a loaner the other day and from what I remember it was the same size but there was a key hole to lock the glove box. So I dont think they would work.

R
The decal doesn't wrap under the button at all. It's a near perfect fit on the top.

I lined up the decal along the bottom of the button, then I used the hair dryer to help smooth it out as I rubbed the upper half with my finger. The vinyl sorta naturally wrinkles over the center rounded part, so I just continued to lightly push the wrinkles outward while using the hair dryer.

I hope that helps.

Got it, thanks. It just looks soooo good in your pic that I thought it conformally coated the button right around the edges. I'll have my daughter loan me her hair dryer.
