Paint Protection on BRG

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my bouncing new MINI, and I'd like to see pics of clear paint protection (ClearShield, Clearbra, etc) installed on your BRG MINI.

I'd like to see how visible it is when installed professionally, how it looks if you put it on over stripes, etc.

Thanks!

A few comments from a BRG without clear bra,

1. Get it because chips on BRG show a lot when they get wax in the chip
2. Put the strips over the clear bra for a nicer look
3. Pictures on the net are not really able to show a clear bra well. Ask the installer to show you the product on a dark car. Then you can decide.

Unless you really don't like the idea you need to get the clear bra.

I like the idea, but my stripes are already on. I know it won't lay down perfectly smooth at the edges of the stripes, but I'm not sure that will really bother me.

Same Boat

I am in the exact same "boat", Fox 220. I'm currently thinking about using a small bottle of touch-up paint. Then, 4 or 5 years from now, if it is really bad, get a new, full paint job (roughly $600 or $700).

Depends on our driving habits. I might be using mostly highway miles = more possibility of chips. Exasprating. In my neck of the woods, the bra is $795 (18" up on bonnet, and the bumper below). Current stripes have to (or should) come off ($$cost). Then $189 for new stripes installed. More money, more money, ....... .

Hey there, I had my coverage done by the same people my MINI dealer uses. They actually cut the film so it goes around the stripes, not over them. They did a wonderful job, and it's hard to find the film edge, even when I'm looking for it!
