yes. The rings around the vents come off if you twist and pull on them, the speedo and tach.. i cant remember.. but they do come off! the shift boot ring comes off if you pull straight up.. but the boot is attached to it I think..the mirrors are attatched with clips. there is a sticky on here somewhere on how to take them off without breaking any of the clips its quite easy.
are you replacing the trim with CF? or color match?
OH and welcome!

Eliminating chrome is probably the biggest pain, and most common mod among mini owners. Interior wise you have some options. I'm not too sure what is a cover and what is an actual part. Someone with experience with the chrome interior could help you better than I. Outside, the chrome mirror caps can be removed for replacement parts. There are carbon fiber caps, union jack, checkered flag, etc... None are particularly cheap, FYI. Its also a bit tricky to remove whats there. The headlight rings are the beast though. Getting them off isn't the problem, but rather doing so in one piece. Look around for anything discussing "Black Out." Some parts can be painted, but success varies widely on that. The best bet it a vinyl wrap or carbon fiber piece. Use the vendor menu and check out outmotoring, minimania, or moss for the mirror caps and some interior stuff (there are other good companies, those just sprang to mind first). For the headlight trim, door handles, gascap, etc... check out aesthetic creations. Your order will take a while, but the quality is hard to beat. Welcome to NAM!
