Change to roof design, Ideas?

I have a Jet black with white mirrors with white roof. However i want to change to more of a black mirrors, roof.

I am thinking either getting the black out roof vinyl, or getting a roof decal on it that makes it basically black.

I like the "Two Tone Union Jack" flag by Aesthetic Creations (http://www.aestheticreations.net/flagroofgraphics.htm)

However, the pictures shown is on a black roof, i want the edging of my roof to be black so it looks like its a black roof. I would like to see what it looks like on a white roof.

Is there a better way, besides getting it painted, to pricey...

Also, i will be changing my mirrors to black, or maybe the "black jack". Not sure...

Basically, I just need some help, i know its all personal preference but i cant decide, if you guys have another suggestion, I wanna hear it! positive or negative feedback wanted!

Thanks

Black Jacks rule!!! My car is an electric blue, with the white roof and mirror caps. I drove it like that for a long time...got tired of people telling me how cute it was. I had Aesthetic make my Black Jack roof to fit the mirrors, with the primary (St. Georges Cross) in black...I believe the standard Black Jacks have a silver or grey primary. I also pulled off my standard white ralley stripes and went with a double black Shelby stripe over the bonnet and back. If you would like a better picture of what the roof looks like I could probably get off my lazy **** and post one!
Have you looked at the flags on the MINI website, as there are hundreds of ideas, as well as Aesthetic and Cooper Flags....just a thought!

Why dont you let Mike or Hanna at Aesthetic Creations integrate the stripes into the black out roof? Otherwise you will have an obvious layered look...and yes, I am getting out of my pjs to take a pic of my roof now! (Its my day off ).

Holy cow. Thought I would just go out and take pics. But Klaus was dirty...so I had to wash him...anyway, I couldnt get them to load here, so I posted them to flikr. Hope they show up!
First pic shows the overview (best I could get from the top of a fence).

OK...dumped some old photos out, and uploaded several others of the roof...

Totally not cool. None of the photos will load onto the page. I dont know why, I've not had problems before. Anyway they are loaded into my gallery. Here is the link:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...0/ppuser/34905

You can also see the others (that wouldnt fit here) if you go to:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/29922582@N07/

I hope those help. As you can see, I went around the front and both sides with a black pinstripe. The decal was kind of a pain to cut while it was being installed and the pinstripe covers any nicks in the edge. It has been on the decal since it was on, so it has lasted a good long time.
It sure helps to keep the sun out in the summer. People ususally look surprized when you open the top. Most think there is no sunroof, since its really not that noticible. I've also had several people ask how much it cost to have my roof painted.....

Black jack on the roof looks nice. I have been thinking about wrapping my roof with matte black this spring... we'll see. I have hyper blue with a white roof and would like to go black without bothering with paint. Only problem I would run into would be the spoiler... I suppose I could try wrapping it but there are some complex curves so we'll see.

I'm glad to have helped. I really love the original Black Jack, or the two tone one from Cooperflags.com, but just wanted to tweek it a little. The grey on the roof isnt a perfect match to the grey in the mirror caps, but I intend to pull them off this summer and paint them along with my down tubes. (It seems the only ones who have noticed so far are the other MFA grads anyway!)
I have several other photos from different angles, which I will probably just load into Flikr as it seems I have met my photo quota here!
Let us know what you decide to do...its exciting!

For easy hosting try Photobucket.com - I use it for all my picture hosting and I haven't had any problems with oversized photos, etc.

Thanks for that info...I will have to try that next time. I have downsized almost all the photos I have, so if they will take them as is, that would be great! I did manage to post the remaining photos to flickr last night.
