>>but here is the link (let me know grille1 or grille2)
grille 1 (shark's gills)

grille 2 (horizontal bars)

(the "S" doesn't really belong on an MC)

I vote for grille 1.

I like grille 2 myself, thinking of getting those for my CR/W MC for just a touch of chrome (I don't have the chrome bumper inserts).

Grill 2, but not the S if you have a regular Cooper.

I have Grill 2 (without the S) and like it. Both are nice, though. My opinion: Grill 2 gives you more of a classic look, and Grill 1 more of a sportier look...so it just depends what you're going for.

I'd kinda like to change out my side grills as well on my ps/ps MC..

i've already switched the ugly orange lens to the white, but i don't know if i want to spend 100 or whatever it is for the chrome vents, plus it might be too much with the PS.. i'd like to see a picture..

here's an alternative side vent desgin from coopertuning.de

i'm not sure of it's quality as the polished stainless steel rods are just applied with 3M Redliner Tape (will that hold up?) .. the set of 4 is 29,95 euros

has anyone bought these that could comment?

If you're taking votes, I'd go for the secone one. The "shark" vent is a little too BMW Z3 for me.

i am leaning toward the classic look now (grille2). the other one does look z3-ish and mini is definitely is more classic. thanks.

Anyone making black grills for the MCS? I'd like to keep my reflective "S" but prefer the black over the chrome. Just my taste. Would eventually replace most of my chrome w/ black or body color trim.

Peace,

I just peeked at the one on coopertuning.de but still, too much black, not enough chrome imo. That's the whole point, to chromify! Yes, I just made up that word! See what I mean? http://www.coopertuning.de/shop/images/bm283f.jpg
Unless you're going for a really subtle effect.... I want SHINY!

My pick is the #2 (non S version) but am wondering why it lists for $104.95 on Moss, but their S version is only $59.95. Anyone know why there's a $45 difference in price? This is what I'm referring to: http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...94&SortOrder=2

Any other places carry this pretty chrome side vent other than Moss, I wonder? It seems like the perfect complement to the chrome grille I'm getting but seems a bit overpriced, imo. What do you think?

I can certainly understand why the dealer won't do it....
IMO, a MINI Cooper should look like and represent proudly what it is, a MINI Cooper!
