Removing all door trim

I have brushed aluminum trim pkg in a 06 sport conv that I want to paint but need to know how to remove all of the trim pieces. I have not sen any instructions any where on how to remove all these pieces so if someone can provide that it would be an immense help.

The entire door panel can be removed but the trim pieces are plastic welded to the panel. You can break the welds and re-glue the trim after painting. Look here for instructions on removing the door panel: http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?f...aq_faq_removal (scroll down).

Yeah running into the same problem with my 03. I'm gonna mask the whole door panel off and paint them on the door panel. Or maybe I'll get some wraps from Lyle.

I had taken mine off about a year ago to have them painted. It is a plastic weld as mentioned above... I used a dremel with a cutting wheel and took them off. When it came time to put them back on, I lined it back up and melted the plastic back with a woodburner. It's worked fine.
