Here's one for all you "interior decorators"

While pulling and replacing the downtubes to install my new toggle bank, I noticed that the dash piece that surrounds the steering column was loose on one side. The side to the left of the steering wheel is held firmly in place (with a screw, I think) but the side to the right sort of wiggles forward and back if I tug at it (sort of like wiggling a loose tooth with your tongue, I can't quit messing with it).

I didn't notice this piece being loose when I put in the parcel shelf, so I'm wondering if I broke a clip or something when I pulled the downtubes...

So what (if anything) is supposed to be holding that side in place?

Any and all advice/answers welcomed.

Thanks,

richard
