R53 Exterior Trim Piece

Hey guys, I have a 2004 Mini R53 and one of the trim pieces on the exterior fell off and Im trying to replace it, I have the part now but i cant figure out how to get the rest of it off and how to install the new one. If anyone can help me out thatd be awesome. Here is a picture of the piece in question.

I think you can just snap onto it with clips. If the new piece doesn't come with clips, go to the dealer and get some.

The first thing that I would do is get a pair of pliers and get the old clips off, since they gave-way on your old pillar cover, I wouldn't trust them to hold a new one on.

After you get them off, and pick up a new pillar cover (with clips) maneuver the top of the pillar cover under the curved portion of the drip rail, and then just snap in place. Should be a two-minute job. Don't mess with the foam material that is exposed, leave it as-is.
