I was looking at a web page, and looking for wiring harness adapters... I see that the Mini is the same as the BMW which is the same as the Audi, and VW ones. Even by parts number...

But on this page, the price is higher for the same part number for where the have the bmw listed as to where they have the audi and VW listed... Can you believe that??

Unfortunately, I see this type of marketing practice quite often, which is also common to Lexus/Toyota.

Yup, those elves that make the MINI harnesses have either graduate degrees or are part of a strong union, hence the higher cost of production. Oh yeah and they live in Hawaii and go surfing on little surfboards at lunchtime. You heard it here first folks.
