boost guage question

so i put a boost and volts guage in and for some reason i dont feel like the booste guage is working right. can anyone tell me a few things i could check to make sure it is working...also how much boost should i be seeing with a full stock motor?

if your start the engine, the pin will point it from 0 to neg. side blow -10.
if you put the gas on, the pin will go to pos. side. the number is depending on your pulley size.

IIRC ~10psi with the stock pulley.
