It's super easy. There is a plastic cover at the top of the inside of the boot. Take a flat head screw driver and pop off the little cover. (there is a small divot on the edge of the cover to accommodate the screw driver). It is 3 screws, unfastened on the inside of the boot at the top. Once removed the light will loosen, then wiggle it out and unclip the connector.
BTW I have a roof spoiler and didn't need to remove it or loosen it to remove and install the 3rd Brake Light.
