Hey there All...
Here's a shot of the inserts at the paint shop. I had'em done whilst Montag is in the shop getting freshened up after the minor prang a few weeks back. A whole new look afterwards. Install by this time next week. They're gonna be very cool..
I'll post pics after I'm done.

While it's kinda funny, I did read through the whole instructions figured that it is what it is. There are things that a glue and taped in various parts of the car (like most small spoilers). Probably not that big of a deal...

Hey guys, here is how I attached mine. I was not a fan of the hot glue or 3M tape method, although I have had better success with the later. After fitting them by hand I decided I would attach them with two screws. I used a self taping screw and fit it with a plastic snap cover that hides the head. I found the the snap cover at Lowes. Being black, they blend well, and can really can't be seen.
Here's a photo:
The screws provide enough pressure push the inserts up and in making it fit nice and tight, and removal is easy.

In regards to fitting, we found the best way was to tack them in place with hot glue and then use something like tiger seal to keep them in place. There are many ways to fit these, as hyperblue said, you can screw them. I have had two sets fitted to mine, one with hot glue, last 12 months before I took them off to paint them black, then the last lot is stuck on using tiger seal and they dont budge. Most bodyshops attach spoilers etc with tiger seal so these inserts if fitted as per the guide should not come off.

The last set i attached i found the easiest way to get a good fixing was to remove the rear bumper, then remove the plastic grille type pieces that are located under where the gp insert sits so you can get your hand behind the insert. then glue around the edge of the insert in spots and then finally tiger seal around it too... they stick like sh*t that way! just leave for a few hours to cure before re-assembling and attaching to the car...
or screw...
or screw...

Glad I came back to this thread. I have mine but have not had a chance to fit them yet. I will look into the Tiger Seal as I have used that stuff before. Totally didn't think of it.
Nothing against the seller but I would never use hot glue but what they are referring too might be what we don't usually see here in the U.S. I found hot glue in a catalog once that was for exterior automotive applications. That may be what they were referring too.
Maybe they didn't realize that here hot glue is usually a crappy glue for sticking silk flowers on plastic and wood.
I will say I was very happy with mine and the fit unfinished was pretty dead on. Have seem a lot of stuff like this that required a lot of work to make the product look good. A+ to the guys that make this and I would be happy to buy other stuff from them in the future. They do good work.

Thanks mate, yeah sounds like hot glue in the UK is totally different to that in the USA. Over here its used to hold car interior together etc and is used in many manufacturing processes. We will have to produce a set of instructions for the US market. Thanks for letting me know.

Don't bother unless you've got all the right stuff to mount these. They don't fit that great maybe because of being knock-offs, I don't know for sure. The MINI GP OEM parts fit very nicely by comparison. Not worth the investment in my opinion...

I wondered if you guys would be interested in a group buy for Orranje G-wings?

Let me know if there is any interest as we maybe able to do something on the price if we have enough orders. Currently we sell it at £405 delivered to the rest of the world.
