First step on cleaning up my R53

I finally got around to debadging my car. It reached 110 today so it was perfect to peal off the letters. some parts still stuck and i scratched the paint a little. its nothing i cant buff out though... hopefully. lol i think the car looks a lot without the badges. I'm deciding on what to do with the badges now that they are off. anyone have ideas?

Nice and clean! I'm thinking of debadging as well. Not sure what to do with the letters, though.. hang onto them in case you ever want to sell/trade the car, I suppose.

Not sure what to do with them either....maybe apply the "Cooper S" onto your dash on the right side in front of your passenger and the MINI wings to the left of that??? who know's just an idea.

I can't see the picture you posted, but I'm sure it looks sweet. One question - how is the front MINI emblem attached to the car (pins/tape or just tape?) The black part of my front emblem was worn away and I'm looking to replace it (or just remove it if it's only taped in place).

Thanks!

The Mini emblems themselves are riveted into the boot and bonnet. i just removed the "Cooper S". Heres another image of it.

I don't believe that they are 'riveted' onto the boot and bonnet. They have prongs that fit into holes, but its double-sided tape that keeps them on.

I've heard it was either one. but it would be more work than worth to try and patch those whole then paint over them. originally i was going to take them off but when i pried on the emblem i could feel the sheet metal start to pop.
