Mine is in the mail. Got it from mossmini for just around $25 more. I was going to get one off of eBay but they don't fit that great I've heard. I'll try to find a link with some photos of MINIs with them on. Look great painted flat.

This is user 4130's 05 with the mesh bumper. Good thing about the nonaero grilles is that you don't have to modify to get it on.

Completely understand! The gloss will probably look good too. I just want them to match the cowl vents near the windshield/lower grille. I might plastidip them black just in case I change my mind. The mossmini one came up to $109 with shipping/handling. Not saying the eBay brand won't fit good, but I felt better spending the $25 on a company that specializes in MINIs. I lurked eBay feedback for a good 1/2 hour and felt uneasy with all the "didn't fit right"s on other cars. I only saw one review about the MINI grille and it was "made it work" :l

Here's a few pics of my '05 MCS with the new grilles. The only gripe I have is as far as them being period correct. The grilles you get off EBAY are the new style/larger mesh. Mine look ok for what they are but I still have my eyes open for the smaller mesh JCW grilles. In retrospect, I should'a got the ones from Out Motoring. They are the closest to OEM I've seen in the aftermarket sales world. Enjoy the photos

I wrapped my grill with CF Vinyl

I wanted a black grill vs body color and was also looking at the ones on eBay. I had extra vinyl from when I made CF vinyl stripes so I wrapped my grill to see if I would like it blacked out. Love it! Not going to buy a new grill, just leaving it wrapped.

Old stripes and body color grill.

Now, with CF vinyl stripes and wrapped grill.

Thanks very much. Yes, they came from an ebay seller. They are very nicely made. And, yes I had my painter do them to match when I added the aero side skirts. (I just love painted lips) I love the look and thanks to those of you who do also.

Sooper,

Are those factory rally lights? If so, how did you get the brackets off to remove the lights to remove the grille. I Plastidipped my stock grille last weekend and found my lights to be riveted to the hood.
