If so, I'd be interested in how you did it and where the wiring goes. Thanks.

Ressurecting this thread. I'm planning on getting an Air/Fuel guage, and would like to know about hooking it up. The wiring and what not I shouls be able to handle, but I'm not sure about what comes with the guage. Does it come with a sensor of some sort or is that something that must be bought seperately? Also, where does that sensor get placed in order to read the Air/Fuel ratio?

The gauges are nothing more than a light show unless you buy a Wideband gauge. These gauges will use an O2 sensor similar to the ones your car's emissions system uses. Usually you add a bung to your exhaust piping and screw it in. Some aftermarket exhausts already have a bung for this purpose.

Most aftermarket A/F gauge kits will be wideband. A narrowband would be useless to you anyway. They will either come with a sensor or say which one to get. As joshK said, you will most likely have to weld a bung onto your header for the sensor.

For Xmas, I gave my son a PLX DM-5 combo. What attracted me was the fact that I would not have to add a bung but replace the existing sensor and "share it" w/ the gauge and the ECU. The instructions are a little light explanation wise - at least for me (i.e. not the sharpest tool in the shed). It may make more sense to just add a bung and wire up as standalone.

I need help identifying the following wires on the ECU Harness -

1) 12V power
2) chassis GND
3) 02 heater power
4) 02 heater GND
5) 02 signal Input

Appreciate any help you can offer.
