 I wanted to upgrade my vinyl Panther Black handbrake and shift boot to the Panther leather boots. MINI offers the handbrake and boot in Panther leather but only offers the Shift **** in Panther black leather not the BOOT!. This makes no sense. They offer the boots in every color but Panther black. Further more, they've got the black leather for the handbrake boots why not make the shift boot to match? Another weird thing is my 2003 Cooper came with a black leather shift ****, why doesn't MINI offer the Black leather shift boot. Why would I want two (If they did offer the shift **** and boot in Black which they don't). I called MINI and they said they'd check on it. My dealer said it's always been this way despite his complaints and he gets no answer from MINI. The way it's listed in the accessories catalog is very deceiving as well.
I guess they want us to go aftermarket for Panther Black matching boots.

BTW, noticed the reference to "Spitfire", my first car was a GT-6.

The air bag is history. Must use resistors to fool dash light. The rubber boot is a Tiburon accessory. I'll try and find the link to the post for more info.

Question,

how did you get a large/med bottle of water in you'r cup holder? I drink Pepsi in 12 oz cans and it's o problem for me but sometimes gas stations don't have Pepsi in a can and I have to get a cup and they don't fit.

SCURVES,
The Spitfire is my Summer car. By the way, I find the MINI to be as much fun as driving the Spit and I don't get wet when it rains. Off topic, it's strongly rumored in Triumph circles that BMW will bring out a new Triumph sportscar to sell alongside the MINI! BMW hold the rights to the Triumph name. Which year GT6 did you have and why would you ever want to sell it?

Sweet seats. I'm picking up a pair of Sparco Torino 2 seats tomorrow? Where did you secure the ends of seat belts? I'm sticking with stock belts, for now, but would like to put in 5 point belts.

I'm thinking of changing my black leather, and I've already removed the shifter ****. The car is a 2004 so the two leather pieces are in excellent shape. Let me know if you are interested.
