Suggestion...
Use a led for it...that way the extra load does/cannot possibly cause issues with the bcm as it may have for some folks of earlier brakelight mods, like the "paperclip" mod...no need to use a led with a resistors, as the intent of the resistor is to mimic the load/watt useage of a standard bulb...
I do like this mod...have been debating doing it for a long time!!

I've got an LED bulb on the way... All the rears are now LED and it has that slight millisecond pause compared to the others.
Didn't think (or know!) of the possible issues!
It's a great mod... Catches the eye and (I think) the more red light on the back when stopping, the better... When you're only a few inches off the ground!
