Okay here I am, contemplating this final chess move. Any helpful hints on getting thru the firewall grommet and final the high beam yellow/green wire amongst the massive wiring bundle.

The install has gone fine until this point. There is way too much wiring harness length, but better to be too long than too short.

Appreciate your input on the two above questions.

Thanks,
SMKKVK

Tap the high beam at the headlight, not under the dash. It's much easier that way.

For the switch, I used a utility knife and made a slit in the rubber just long enough to push the switch through, the rubber closes around the wire, I then used a bent wire hanger to pull the switch to the left of the steering column, I don't have anywhere to host pics, so I can't show you what I did.

X2Board,

Thanks, works like a charm. I mounted the PIAA switch to the Euro-parcel shelf at the rectangular push-out although I didn't push it out. Just did a little dremel work and clear RTV adhesive.

The only minor issue is trying to get a firm hold of the hex nut while tightening the screw for the firewall-side of the bracket assembly. My finger doesn't make a good wrench. Should have used a self-tapping screw, may be I"ll go back and do it.

here are a couple of things I did with the all the wiring:

tucked it under the hood and plastic cover...

the high beam cord is tied down the side. you can see the "lump" in the black tape up by the headlight where the cut to the high beam wire is

a closer look at the bottom of the above pic reveals where the relay is installed and where the extra wiring is kept tied up:
