I was wondering if anyone knows if you can repair the black plastic ground effect below the front bumper. I have a scratch about three inches long and maybe a millimeter deep. My car is in the shop right now and they told me that they can't remove the scratch cause it's a texture thing and if I want it fixed they'd have to replace it. Is this true? Can't you fill it with something and rub it out? Any help would be great. I'd hate to have to spend hundreds of dollars just to fix a little scratch. Thanks in advance.

This thread might be a good place to start. Sometimes cleaning can help reduce the appearance of a scratch significantly.

Other than that, you might be out of luck. You can't fill plastic scratches with wax like paint scratches, as far as I know.

To be honest with you, the part is not every expensive to replace with a new one (Around $20-$40 from your MINI dealer parts counter), so you will be better off replacing it rather than attempting to repair it.
