Finally got my interior pieces painted - don't have too many pics of it yet. It came out perfect!

Wow! Looked at your other pics, really like the headliner and headrests!! The headliner is especially unique!

What's invoved in getting those interior pieces painted? You remove them and bring them to a shop? How about cost? Hope I'm not being to nosy. I guess cost can vary pretty widely....

A bit "ghettoish" for my taste. I much prefer the other mods you have done to your car before.

That's wild!

I think I'm getting too old to appreciate its uniqueness!

A) I think it's great that you've done something so original. Kudos.

B) The paint job on your interior pieces kind of look like it belongs on the exterior of a 1962 Impala low-rider. (My 2 cents)

That's the beauty of being a MINI owner. Not everyone does the same thing. Some Auto-X, some road course, some drag race, some canyon run, some enter car shows, some dyno test, some drive it daily, some drive it only when it's not raining, some, well you get the point. Candace has entered car shows around the west coast and earns trophies. More power to her!

Thank you to everyone. The pictures do not do the paint job any justice. It's actually a marbled effect, which is hard to see in the pictures. A lot of work went into it. First we had to remove all of the pieces (and the door panels are plastic welded, so those had to be drilled out). One person painted the interior pieces and did the marbelizing, another put the ostrich into the door panels, and another guy did the airbrushing. Then it all had to go back together. I like to go with unique, things that haven't been done before.

Actually, this is pretty subtle work for some interior I have seen before.

That headliner is really cool. I didn't even know you could have work like that done.

Very original.
No one who sees it will forget that look.
Some ideas- chrome or other trim rings for the door speaker grilles?
Cover the door pull leather in Dark green or even brown leather.
Do your leather seat covers in special marblized dark green to match the dash or cordoba leather.
Paint the roof and mirror covers or wheel arches with the marblized BRG like your dash.
Show Quality? Definitely.

Pictures never really capture the true look.
I find that computer screens rarely show how beautiful things can be.
Next time you are in the Apple store go to this thread and take a second look.
