I was thinking of putting in an Audiovox alarm that works on voltage drop...real easy to install and the siren/speaker itself is pretty small.....but I'm not sure if it will fit anywhere, as under the hood is so jam-packed with stuff, and behind the front bumper there is no space either. They recommend it be positioned fairly close to the battery, so would prefer to keep it in the front of the car....2004 Cooper. Any ideas out there???

The factory siren location is under the bonnet beneath the cowl vent on passenger side, which has a lot of space.

I forgot to add... The sound is muffled a bit by the plastic cover, but it is still plenty loud enough to be heard... just an FYI. The siren is really loud to begin with so it works for the best.

Does your viper alarm utilize the mini key fob or do you have a seperate remote?

Thanks.

That seems relaly easy to cut if a thief wanted to. You should put it in a location not easy to get to.

That looks like the location that the optional factory mini siren is placed. Perhaps, an additional lock to slow down access to the bonnet?
