To those installing a GP rear diffuser with an aftermarket exhaust

Today I installed the GPII diffuser on my 2013 MCS with JCW package. It was pretty simple and if your skinny enough you dont even need to lift the car. The hardest part is getting the two tiny screws on each side, which I still have been unable to get back on.
Now, the unexpected part... I have an Invidia Q300 exhaust and the diffuser would not fit into the bumper because the muffler is bigger than the JCW exhaust. I had to shave off (literally. i used a razor blade) the plastic in order for it to fit.
After a bit of frustration and hard work the diffuser looks great.
Also!!! I ordered it from the service and parts department at the dealer. The kit did not include the screws. I removed the screw that secures the bumper and bought 10 of those. You'll need 10 total, so you could just get 9

have fun!

Te part where it meets the muffler was curved backwards. Thats where I had to cut. It was getting new shoes thats why the wheels were off.

Could you have put a spacer on the muffler mount to angle downwards a bit?

Maybe, but I think that the exhaust pipes would then be touching tu upper part of the diffuser. It would've been a tight fit.
Also, the difusser has an inch wider opening for the pipes which makes the Invidia look a lot better since it doesnt look as crowded.

Was this install JUST the diffuser part, or all the connecting underbody panels front to back as well?

Ok. I was just curious. I added up the cost to do the rear diffuser, the two center sections, and the front bell pan.... man it adds up!

I'll be in the How-To section when the time comes, thanks! Right now I have way more priorities that need addressed before I get to thinking about the diffuser and underside pans. Just thought I'd throw a couple questions at you since you JUST did the install and had a nw thread opened.

One last question, if you don't mind: What was the total parts cost in the end for the full monte? If you do mind, no biggie.

Ok, Way, a seller of the kit finally speaks up and the picture answers my question lol

My concern was this kit is rear only, as it looks to be. There is still a front belly pan and 2 connecting center channels/brackets that you need for the full effect. The $299 kit is only the rear section as pictured, right?

It is just the rear kit as most people have installed just the diffusers without the belly pans. If you want to add them later you can, but I suggest just paying the crazy dealer price on the undertrays as the lenght of them makes them oversize and the shipping will be more than the parts themselves.

Now I know what you mean hahah. Is yours an N18 or does it have the factory JCW pacakge? Mine is a 2013 MCS with the JCW package and it had the underbody panels. Unless I'm still lost... :S

Yeah mine is an 07 non jcw. I'd been looking into the Aero kit anyway and figured another $300 isn't too bad, but if I wanted the full effect functionality wise, I'd be in 6-700 dollars worth of plastic underbody panels lol
