'05 interior passenger dash modification

Has anyone mounted anything in this space?
I want to flush mount my GPS in that location. Also, what it behind there, meaning, can I cut into the plastic that is behind the passenger dash?

The passenger airbag is there (deploys upward), but you might have some room in that area. Check the pics in this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...p-removal.html
