Here is my solution. I used Autometer gauges, the Autometer cups , and a homemade mounting bracket. The mounting bracket is made from 1" x 7" x 1/8" aluminum bar (Home Depot, Lowes, etc...) and 1/2" round aluminum stock. I tapped the 1/2" stock for 1/4-20 button head socket screws. I then drilled a hole in the side of the round stock, cut a notch into the flat bar, inserted the flat bar into the hole, a little welding later, it was secured. Then cleaned up the weld, a little plastic filler (bondo) for smoothness and then a coat of flat black paint. I later found out that JB Weld works just as good, another project, and is easier to use and finish. I was considering making and selling these, but got too busy with my real job and other toys.

I had talked about this in another thread around here but I'm too lazy to search for it.

Here's a link to pictures of the finished product mounted. Enjoy!

Each pod is fixed in place with 2 screws. They sit almost even with the Tech, with 1/2" offset at most. However, the pod can slide outward or inward if desire. In addition, the ring holding the pod can pivot to optimize driver's best viewing position. I also mounted 2 black license plate screw caps to hide the screws.

Thanks for your input Dave. I was lucky that my alta pod was back ordered so I cancelled the order and went with your setup. I realy like the way your setup looks over the alta pod look. Thanks for saving me $ plus giving a better look. Should have me pods and gauges in today.

Hey thanks for all the feedback guys! good stuff.
Looks like i'll probably do this sooon.

Maybe im not understanding the mount correctly, Is the pod actually screw into the black plastic piece the tach is connected to? this is what i figured.

You're correct, the ATM pods are mounted directly onto the black semi-lunar plastic piece. Whereas in nparker's method, he manufactured a bracket for the ATM pods to mount onto and then, the bracket is hold in place using the 2 screws behind the Tech. Since I'm not much of a welder, I took the easy route and mounted onto the plastic piece.
