Hello all, I'm new to the forum & new to the Mini community (just took delivery on a '05 S). Now I know it's standard to post in the welcome thread 1st but I'm currently in Afghanistan & the net here is terribly slow. It's also preventing me from searching the site thoroughly enough so if this topic has been posted recently I apologize.
The purpose of this post is to see if there's a reputable site that sells quality carbon fiber interior pieces. I'm wanting to make a "carbon edition" in a sense but I'm struggling to find pieces that are direct replacements instead of vinyl or stick on. I have no issue paying the $$$ for quality I just need a lil' help finding it. I'll be returning home for a 2 week break in about a week & would love to get a jump start on some of the mods while I'm home.

I want to thank everyone in advance for any info/help you can provide & I greatly look forward to hearing from some of you. Vendors included.

 

if you find a source. post it. 11 years ago this stuff was everywhere. Now that I am ready to fix up my car I cant find it either. I want a 5 piece CF dash. I may resort to wraps. I thought since these cars are so cheap now they are started to get purchased by the younger generation and they want to modify there would be renewed interest in R-53 parts.

 

I personally went the Hydro-Dipped route, cheaper and you can have any part done that you want. No need to find someone that still makes what you want.

 

Check Ebay for Mini Cooper carbon fiber parts, also try Carbonmini.com and another company called NVDautosport.com

 

The old original JCW three piece Carbon fiber dash kit and individuals pieces are NLA: 7/2004+
