Interior/Exterior Passenger seat bottom stuck forward

Passenger seat bottom stuck forward
I have a problem with my passenger seat. It is stuck all the way forward and will not move back. The seat back is ok, it will go forward and recline and the raise/lower adjustment also still works. No matter how much I fiddle with the seat bottom, I cannot get it to move back.
This is a 2003 MC with sport seats. The passenger seat is seldom used, and seldom moved forward or back. Today I was cleaning the car and moved the seat forward. Now it is stuck there. I guess I will have to find a very short girlfriend.
So with the seat all the way forward, there is no way to remove it from the car.... the bolts on the front of the rails are covered up.
I've been reading the seat related threads here, but I've not found anything here that helps me. Anybody have an idea what I can do before I go spend money at the dealership? Thanks. Mike

Well, I finally had to take it to the dealer. After negotiating with the service manager to a price of $750 the seat is repaired. Very frustrating to spend that kind of money on a car that's 11 years old. Equally frustrating is I do not know what the repair involved, beyond $385 for a new seat slider part.

WOW, that is ridiculous! I wish I would have seen your post when you put it out. My pass. Seat did it every once in awhile and I would have to move it around fairly hard to get it to go back. I ended up just adjusting the tracks front to back to be equal and no problem since. Sorry, it may have been that easy.
