What I was thought would be kinda cool, would be a pull-start cord like on a lawnmower. Have it under a gas cap kinda deal at the back of the car. Could you imagine ssomeone starting their car by yanking a cord? Or go totally retro style and have a windup wingnut at the back.
But seriously now, IMO, there's a small cool factor in that push button. Not all too important too me. I guess I'm kinda used to it already. I have a push start on my forklift at work. But may still be mildly interested in it if there were some sort of kit/deal available.
Cheers,

crank her up.

If you really want retro put a crank on the front of the bonnet. You can crank up the car then push the start button. Put a computer chip in place so that it worn work everytime. That way you have to jump out 3-4 times to crank her again.

Even better put a bid wind up on the boot. So you can wind it up like a toy car.

I actually saw an exact item on an older white Mini. Think the novelty of it would kinda wear off after a short time. Looks a little cheesy but still kinda worth a chuckle.
Cheerio,

i have to admit i love the LOOK of the start buttons, but when i think about adding another step just to start the car, it seems like it would become as big a pain as having to clear the NAV warning screen everytime i crank the little guy up! But they do look cool, especially in place of the cigarette lighter.
