Tint problems...need input.

Hi guys. Well...got my windows tinted about 3 weeks ago. Noticed there was an airpocket in the rear window, so I took it back to get fixed. They said no problem because its a lifetime warranty. Brought it in today and when I got it back, noticed there was a fine scratch about 10inches long. So I called them and told them the situation. They apologized and said that the tint was probably scratched from the squeegee. He was nice about it and said to bring it in and they would take care of it. They seem to be very good with customer satisfaction, but will removing it for the second time ruin my defrosters??? Kind of stupid question, but I'm just curious. I'm actually hoping the scratch isn't on the window. If it is, then what happens??!??!!?
Anyway, thought I'd vent. Your thoughts are welcome...

The tint can be removed without harming the defrosters. It's a pain, but it can be done with LOTS of elbow grease. I used to do it for a local tint/accesory shoppe.
I managed to scratch a side window tinting my own. It's not obvious, but it'll always be there. MINI glass is about the softest I've ever seen.
Best - Bodinski.

Damn...I'm hoping it's not scratched. I really don't want to deal with that scratch. I hope it's the film. I mean, they are entitled to fix it no matter whether that scratch is on the window or film, right??? I'm suppose to take it there first thing in the morning.

Removing tint is not a problem at all. They just use amonia to take it off. It just eats away and disolves the glue. Plus if they heat it up and use amonia, it is super easy. I work at a car wash, and we cannot use our high amonia window cleaner on any windows with aftermarket tint just because of that. I've seen it happen before, just a little gets on the glue and it comes right off. And if that doesn't work, which it will, rain-x removes everything.(carwash secret)- sap, tar sometimes, anything. Its a miracle product, works good on windshields though too.

Hey guys...I'm happy to report that the scratch was on the tint. They replaced and everything was back to normal. They apologized again and said bring it back if I ever need anything taken care of.
