IT's a neat tent that connects to mini exsiting hardware, not sure if has come out yet anywhere, It looks to have been inveted by the same people who inveted the mini motion stuff company there are more pictures in there flash site over at (http://www.fuseproject.com/).. thsi pictures show how it could be used as med support

 

I don't know why exactly, but that picture cracks me up I mean what is going on there!? Is this some sort of MINI-based field hospital? Or perhaps an ill-conceived attempt to make a MINI-ambulance? (Gee, I guess we'll have to amputate if we want to get him in...which end do I start from?) Other uses for the tent...well, I'm sure that most campers will really appreciate a tent that's open on 2 sides.

Looks like a design school exercise to me. But then again, that's my opinion on most of the MINImotion stuff.

 

the tent actually closes if you check out the flash site it shows how it can become an enclosed area.. and you joke abotu miniture ambulances, but they are real and extreamly useful, Here in DC they use those special electirc vehicles ( slighty larger than a golf cart and are allowed on most city streets,) they use them witha strecher alogn the passenger side that retracts and all the medical goddeis they can fit on the vehicle, they use them to move people through crowds to hospitals or awaiting ambulances, or as mobile bas stations with tents and tables that can be set up and broken down quickly, as to say move with a protest crowd or parade. I could see the mini used in a similiar fashion but with the ability to reach highway speeds, it woudl be a lot move manuverable than a ambulance in a croweded city.. don't knock it these kinds of thign have serious uses.

 

That looks like a pretty good idea. Set up a table and put up a tent and instant flea market counter or sign in desk at event, etc..

Is this concept being brought to market?

 

Looks fun! I went to the Mini Motion site and couldn't find it so I wrote then a note asking about it. I'll let you know how they respond.

 

Forget the first aid apect make it a weekend gettaway tent


Head down to the lake pop open the boot flop out the tent and have you rear seat mount LCD / TFT screens along with some brewskies and you are set.

 

Where on that highly over-designed and confusing website do you find the pictures of the tent? I keep getting lost on the site.........

 

Agreed! I spent at least 10 minutes trying to find the recommended flash pix of the tent and finally gave up! Grrrrrrr! Tee hee!
