Any thoughts?

It is the ABS doing a self test when you first take off. The first time it happened to me I thought I had run something over. Have no worries it is normal.

It could be your ***** slapping around. When I corner, my ***** swing and bang into the side of the boot. There are basicly only two solutions: A) tape your ***** up to the bottom of the deck lid, or B) cut off your *****, but your deck lid will not rise when you access your boot.

Good Luck!

I plan on removing the tape and complaining of the hatch rattle when I take the car in for it's first service. But that's not for a couple thousand more miles and I would go insane if I had to listen to the rattle for that long.

Not sure it this is a solution..

I noticed that the runflats just make the whole car jiggle so I folded the seats down and put the cover in the back. I still heard rattling in the back. The only thing left were the seat belts so I put them in their appropriate place and now the rattles are 90% gone! Well, I put the hatch cover back on so let's see if that causes any rattles but I taped the ***** so it shouldn't. I'll report back later.
